Chicago. Home to world-class museums from art to science.
There are places to explore what is above (see the stars at Adler Planetarium) and below (or the sea at Shedd Aquarium). Chicago boasts almost 20 miles of lakefront, food from traditional to funky, and so much more. The best part about the Windy City is that there are over 1400 bikes available to rent and explore the Chicagoland area. So plan a trip, rent a bike, and check out some of these city hotspots we love.
MOTOBLOT
This Chicago motorcycle show attracts over 20,000 attendees. The event's main goal is to celebrate motorcycle and hot rod culture by bringing together everyone from builders to owners and onlookers. MOTOBLOT 2024 takes place on June 21-23 in downtown Chicago.
Millennium Park
This "park" is unlike anything else. It features Cloud Gate (lovingly nicknamed "the bean" by Chicagoans), The Crown Fountain, Maggie Daley Park, live music at the Sonic Pavilion, and some of the best people watching you can think of. There is something to do, both day and night, at this sprawling hub of entertainment and exploration.
The Twisted Spoke
Brunch, lunch, dinner, and Smut n' Eggs (let's just say this runs from midnight until 2:30 a.m.). Twisted Spoke has rooftop views, 190 beers to choose from, a huge whiskey selection and an amazing Bloody Mary (with cheese in them--yes, IN them).
Tarnish
This boutique-style motorcycle shop has all the unique gear you could want. It focuses on the female rider (don't worry, they have stuff for the guys, too) and sells motorcycle apparel, footwear, accessories, and even gifts for the home.
Malaprop Motors
At Malaprop, you can store your motorcycle in the off-season (Chicago winters are no joke) and have it tuned up and ready to go once the snow melts. They also do motorcycle customizations as well as regular repairs and maintenance.
Superdawg
This Chicago drive-in hotdog joint opened in 1948, which is why a lot of Chicagoans will say they remember going to Superdawg "back in the day." The red glowing eyes on the giant hot dog people atop the roof are somehow both menacing and friendly. Either way, they draw you in!
Chicago Sweatlodge
Massage. Plunge pool. Turkish sauna. Russian sauna. Fried chicken basket. Pierogies. Yes, you read that correctly. This old-world sauna has several ways to refresh your tired muscles after a long day of riding and a restaurant to gather and talk about the day's adventures.
The Museum Campus
The Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum of Natural History and then some are all located within the Museum Campus. You can even spot Soldier Field Stadium in the backdrop. We suggest you try to take in all you can explore, learn, see, and do along this stretch of Chicago's lakefront.
