Chris A. shares with Twisted Road the routes worth the effort and the recipes that are not.
How long have you been riding, which bikes have you owned, and how did you become interested in riding?
My uncle who rode a 1970s Harley got me interested in riding and I’ve been riding since 2006. I’ve owned six motorcycles.
What moto trips have you taken (long or short). Where did you go, stay, and explore? Tell us some highlights.
I took a 4,500 mile solo trip through Washington, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. I rode my Triumph Bonneville and moto-camped in many places along the way.
Tell us some more about you. Where do you live? What kind of work do you do?
What do you enjoy about being part of the Twisted Road community?
I've only been an owner on the platform. I still haven't gotten around to renting a bike to ride. I have enjoyed using Twisted Road as an owner though.
What are your favorite rides near your hometown?
Sunrise Highway is one of those twisty mountain roads with great views if you want to go slow and a very exciting ride if you want to go fast. Julian, CA is a popular destination because there are cute shops and restaurants as well as plenty of other twisty roads to ride nearby.
What location is on your moto trip bucket list?
Ever since I heard of someone riding the Pan America Highway I have always wanted to ride down the South America. I love food and the various food cultures in Central and South America are extremely exciting to me. I would love to ride a solid dual sport bike and get into some more remote areas to take photos and connect with people.
