The bike has plenty of torque on tap and the exhaust is actually pretty quiet as the pipes are fully baffled which makes them dog/spouse friendly. The rig rides straight, without wobble, and given the weight it is very predictable. This is perfect for taking an ocean side cruise with your spouse or the pupper as it has both a seat belt and a two point mounting system to work with most dog harness that have a front and back loop. I have a safe area by my house where you can get some practice in before hitting the road. This bike has been all over but in general if you are not experienced you should plan on staying local for the first part of your day and then expanding out. This vintage bike is capable of sustained highway speeds but you'll have a better experience sticking to roads that are 55 mph and under. This bike can be riden "3 up" but please reach out if this is your plan with the approximate weight of your passengers.
