I road 300 mi in 2 days, bike ran fine. A couple little annoyances. The phone mount wouldn't stay tight and the side cases had no key, top case had trouble locking and unlocking. I let Lee know. I disagree with the other reviewer who said the bike was underpowered. I rode about 150 mi on i-75 cruising at about 75. No problem keeping up with traffic or overtaking big rigs.

Lee was very professional in every respect. The best part for me was the free use of helmet, jacket and gloves saving me money on baggage fees on the airline. If I ever go back to the Tampa area I'll be sure to run another bike from Lee.

Bike condition was great and rode exactly as advertised. I super appreciated the taller windscreen and the storage options. As for it being a DCT, I really enjoyed the change of pace. Highly recommend if you've never tried an automatic bike before and you happen to be in the Tampa area. Plenty of power - you will just notice the bike wants to keep the RPMs low, so it sometimes feels like it's choking itself out. But, lots of fun to be had on that bike. Great for cruisin'.

Awesome time renting this bike from Lee. Great communication and easy to work with regarding pickup and drop-off. I really appreciate the unlimited miles. This was the first bike I've ever rented. Lee made this experience so nice and pleasant that I can't wait to rent more bike from riders like him. Thanks, Lee! =)

A review FOR THE BIKE - NOT THE OWNER, who was amazing. Bottom line - this bike wasn't for me. Didn't like the DCT, the engine seemed underpowered, and much of the fitment seemed more budget than I liked (e.g. switchgear, dash, fuel cap, etc.). Being a low mile (~8,000 mile) Honda, I assume there is nothing in a service schedule that would affect operation of the DCT - which is to say I very much doubt my experience is due to lack of service. There is a manual shifter mode that I didn't mess about with, but it's on the bike. I wanted to try this for a couple of reasons - I ride a 2007 Honda ST1300 and a 2004 Harley Low Rider. They're both heavy bikes and I wanted to try something middleweight and practical for commuting/touring. Thought this might fit that bill. So I rented it, took it on a 5-hour jaunt through straight backroads, highways and the interstate. Not many twisties or sweepers where I rode. The good... Weight. It's light. Feels even lighter... guessing it's because of a low center of gravity. Handling. Because of the lightness it seemed to handle very well given the abruptness of unpredictable gear shifts. Smoothness. At interstate speeds, the engine is super smooth. No surprises from the Honda. The bad... - DCT. I tried to keep my mind open to the DCT, I really did, but every shift seemed abrupt, maybe from RPM mismatch. This left me less confident in low speed handling and braking. During these moments the engine response seemed unpredictable, which I didn't like. I don't know if MORE seat time would have fixed that. I tried in drive mode and sport mode. Same deal. Engine - underpowered. So lethargic. Even worse in sport. I was hoping the power:weight ratio would be something close to my ST given the ST is ~700 lbs (~120 hp, 75? ft-lb torque). I was mistaken. It felt closer worse than my 700 lbs (65? hp, 75? ft-lb torque) Harley. That's not very exciting. Fitment. The LCD switch gear looked like something I could make with a pile of old digital watches, the switch gear was somehow clean if low budget and the switches were all difficult to access with the exception of the turn switch. Gear selection paddles (for manual mode), Sport/Drive switch, horn... all a little out of place if you want/need to access without moving your hands. The meh... just physics and no fault of the bike. Weight. It's light. I road in gusty weather on the interstate. I was tossed around like a plastic bag on the roadway. Not so much it scared me, but much more than I was expecting given my current stable of bikes. That's on me, not the bike.

Lee is great. Awesome collection and he was more than accommodating as I tried on helmet after helmet looking for a good fit. I also made this reservation within 24 hours of riding and it couldn't have been easier. I texted him and he was prompt in response. When picking up the bike it was ready ahead of time and he helped me out with a phone mount, sorting luggage options, orienting me to the bike, etc. When I dropped it was easy and convenient for me. When I'm back in town I'll definitely look him up again. Thanks Lee!
