This the reliable and famous “oil head” 1100GS that started the modern GS craze. After BMW evolved away from the traditional suspension and carburetors of the original GS they introduced the 1100 range. Complete with ABS, brembo brakes all around, fuel injection, heated grips and enough power and smooth torque delivery to rival even some brand new bikes today. This particular bike is a modern classic and has some tasteful upgrades to make it modern yet unique feeling. You aren’t just another guy on a brand new GS. People ask “what is that? Is that a GS? I’ve never seen one before, it’s so clean looking” and that’s what made me fall in love with it. The modern GS tendency to look like a spaceship with harsh angles, plastics and heavy over done accessories will not be found here. This is a sleek machine with just the right amount of modern amenities to feel connected to the road while still safe, quick and characterful. A few tasteful but necessary upgrades include: front & rear Ohlin shocks, 1200GS fuel injector upgrades (woke this thing up!), dual round headlight and fairing upgrade (single biggest visual upgrade but also functional at night compared to stock), and trailmax 50/50 tires. This bike is a perfect example of a clean well taken care of rider. Come out to the deep canyons of Malibu and ride this thing with confidence, you won’t look like a tourist out of tower on another brand new run of the mill rental! Comes with your choice of solo or passenger seat, commuter or touring hard bags, or none at all. I personally ride it 90% of the time with no bags and no passenger seat for its leanness and weight. With passenger seat removed you have a flat luggage rack mounting point I like to use for daily/weekend trips.
